ROOMS CHILDREN ARE WELCOME Children under 3 years of age are accommodated at no charge. Children from 3 to 12 years of age may share with adults at 50 % of the adult rate. Maximum of 2 children per room. Children from 12 years and older, will be charged the full adult rate whether sharing with parents or staying in a separate unit. Baby-sitting facilities are offered at a nominal extra charge. Prior notice to request this service is essential. Game drives and nature walks can be tailor made for children. The lodge has been awarded four stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS The lodge supplies selected drinks on a complimentary basis. This includes bottled water, non-alcoholic beverages and all our homemade refreshments. Beers, spirits and fine South African wines are available for purchase. MOBILE PHONES There is intermittent signal at the lodge and on the conservancy. We recommend that guests rather switch off their mobile phones and enjoy the tranquility. CHECK- IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in is from 14h00 and check-out is before 10h00. We will make every effort to accommodate guests that would like to check in or out to suit their further travel arrangements. Accommodation will be provided at no charge for a guide or driver with a group of ten or more guests, either in camp or in staff quarters at the lodge's discretion and subject to availability. Guests wishing to ensure their guide accompanies them in camp should book a single tent accordingly. The booking will be chargeable at normal rates. EMAIL, INTERNET AND TELEVISION The lodge has a wireless internet connection for the guests' convenience. There are no televisions in the rooms. Guests wishing to watch a sporting event can do so on request. EXTRAS Rates exclude discretionary gratuities, laundry, premium beverages and any other items not listed as inclusive. INDEMNITY On arrival guests are requested to sign our standard indemnity. MALARIA As the Eastern Cape is malaria-free, prophylactics are not necessary. MEDICAL CONDITIONS The reservations office should be informed in advance of any physical disabilities. This is essential as elephant access may not be possible and appropriate accommodation and vehicle seating facilities are limited. PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY · To secure your booking, payment should be made on receipt of invoice CREDIT CARDS RATES All rates are quoted gross, in Rands and are inclusive of VAT, full board, accommodation, selected beverages, scheduled elephant back safari, game drives and walks and the elephant bedtime encounter. Adult rates are quoted per person per day, sharing in twin or king-size accommodation. CONDITIONS Reservations will be released automatically if no payment is made. The lodge is unable to accommodate more than two adults per room. No pets are allowed. ACCESSIBILITY Our Transfer Office with secure guest parking is located just TRANSFERS Complimentary road and air transfers available conditions apply. This is a great opportunity to see the area together with a professional guide. See rate sheet for daily departure times. Non-scheduled road and air transfers are available on request. Our in-house transfer company offers road and air transfer options from our Addo Office, Port Elizabeth, Plettenberg Bay and Cape Town. It is also possible to combine the road and air transfers i.e. Fly one way and drive the other.
